About First Fix
"First fix" is the trade term for everything done before the plaster goes on: the framing, the fixings, the groundwork, the work nobody sees once the job is finished. That is what these videos show. The ground is sliced open, the wall is cut through, and you can see the gravel, the depth and the batten that a camera over someone's shoulder would never catch.
How the videos are made
Every video is built in 3D from the measurements, not filmed. The narration is a generated voice and the visuals are rendered, which is why every upload carries YouTube's altered or synthetic content label. There is no presenter and there never will be. What you are watching is the job, drawn to the numbers.
Where the numbers come from
Every depth, spacing and setting time is taken from the manufacturer's datasheet, the HSE, or the planning rules, and the sources are listed under every video and on every materials list. Where sources disagree, the page says so and explains the call made.
What is not covered
No electrics, no gas, no structural work. Those need a qualified trade, and a video is the wrong place to learn them.
